Placer.ai Launches Custom POI Creator

We’re launching the ability to create Custom POIs within the Placer.ai solution.

One of our primary goals is to empower customers to leverage our data to its fullest potential – and a key piece of the puzzle is the ability to analyze as many properties as possible. While we will continue to add new locations, we are now enabling customers to create custom Points of Interest.

As of our July release, you can draw custom polygons on the fly and instantly get reports for them!

The Custom POI Creator can be used to quickly add locations that do not yet appear in the system or to create different perspectives on a property that is already included. As with before, once the location is created, the data will automatically adjust to reflect the addition.

Why is this a big deal?

There are a few big needs that we wanted to solve with this release. Firstly, we wanted to make it even faster and easier to add locations so that our customers have the most possible information when they need it.

Secondly, by offering this customizable approach we can enable a range of creative approaches to looking at a specific property or group of properties. Do you want to understand the impact of a shopping center at a more granular level? Would you like to create a finer tuned approach to understanding cross shopping behavior? What about analyzing an undeveloped property and setting different options for the parameters of a potential center?

With Custom POIs, all of these questions and many, many more can be answered.
